The Camp Followers

Of Camp Followers:

My first muster was back in 1996 (ish) at a place which will now forever be called "Lychett in the Mud". A very memorable event with a 160 ft long beer tent and a pair of authentic 17th century wellies!

Since then I've married and had two children, who love it as much as I do, and are growing into the next generation of Blackwell's.

Being a camp follower isn't about just sitting around waiting for the men to return. You can if you wish take on a role as a water carrier (this gives you a chance to get into the thick of things on the field (great fun) or a first aider.
You may wish to remain on site and prepare some authentic food or just relax around the camp fire with a glass of wine or two. Which ever you choose you are still a valued member of the regiment.

I've made some fantastic friends over the years by just sitting in a field having fun!
Strange old world isn't it. But my life wouldn't be the same without the Men in Black.

Arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh BLACKWELLS.
