What a fantastic little Lunsfords gig, just us and the Rooks with a days appearance from Spooky and Beth.
Camped on pub grounds huzzah, the main event was on Sunday with a fantastic show of motorbikes, squirrel and terrier racing, tractors...calm down Rookie, tombola stall etc etc, all the normal village fete stuff, including a beer tent, a really well organised day by the village.
Myself and Jo became pikeman for the day, a little nervous but loved every minute of it, don't know how I ended up in the front row on drill display infront of the public, the helmet over my eyes hid my embarrassment.
The grand finale march had the audience in stitches when myself and Rookie looked around to someone calling out his name, only for me to walk sraight into the back of the pikeman in front of me, John, yes they had bloody well stopped marching!!
A lovely weekend and my first experience of pike.
